MAREAS
GRADES 1-3
Our elementary program for students in Grades 1-3 provides daily opportunities for learning, exploration, and play. This approach allows each student to work at their own academic level in every subject, rather than being strictly tied to their grade. Students who finish their work often help their peers, fostering a strong sense of community and teamwork.
The curriculum includes English Language Arts, Spanish Language Arts, Social Studies in both languages, Science, Math, Art, and Physical Education. Each day is a mix of English and Spanish classes, with students easily switching between the two languages based on the subject being taught.
Students frequently go on field trips or participate in activities that complement and reinforce classroom learning. There is a strong focus on connecting classroom lessons with real-world experiences, helping students see how their education applies to life outside school. This makes learning more relevant and meaningful, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of the material and its importance.
For students who are not yet fully fluent in one or both languages, we offer English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish as a Second Language (SSL) classes. These specialized classes replace traditional language arts courses until students reach fluency.
