At Mareas Academy, our holistic learning approach integrates project-based learning, artistic stimulation, and a connection with nature. Students engage in hands-on projects that link academic knowledge to real-world experiences, while artistic expression fosters creativity. Time spent outdoors helps students appreciate the environment and understand their role in its preservation.
Bilingual Programs
Our bilingual program, which follows both the Costa Rican curriculum and North American standards, ensures a solid foundation in Spanish, English, mathematics, and science. We use the Singapore Math method from Kindergarten through high school, promoting mathematical and logical skills.
Teaching Philosophy
We believe that learning should be an exciting and rewarding experience. Our lessons are designed to spark curiosity, engage all types of learners, and make the learning process enjoyable. Our goal is to work alongside parents to support and guide each child, facilitating a rich learning relationship between the family and the student.
Collaborative Learning Across Levels
At Mareas Academy, we encourage interaction between students of all grade levels, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Older students not only interact with younger ones but also take on mentoring roles, helping to teach and share their knowledge. At Mareas Academy, we work in collaboration with The Ogburn School Inc., an internationally accredited private school in Florida, USA. This collaboration allows us to:
