MAREAS
PRE-SCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN
The core of our Preschool and Kindergarten program is based on learning through play. Research shows that children learn best when they can explore their world through interaction with their peers and surroundings from an early age.
In our Pre-K and Kindergarten classes, students learn in a dual-language environment, guided by two teachers: one a native Spanish speaker, and the other a native English speaker. Both teachers rotate between groups, ensuring that all subjects are taught in both languages. Math, science, and other subjects are introduced through interactive, hands-on activities and experiments that engage students and promote active learning.
We use songs, dance, art, movement, and a variety of materials to help students build confidence and coordination. According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), "Children practice and reinforce their learning in multiple areas during play. It provides them with rich learning opportunities and fosters success and self-esteem."
Our philosophy is to nurture each child's imagination and independence by encouraging them to explore their interests and creativity. In Kindergarten, students are gradually introduced to letters and sounds, laying the groundwork for literacy while ensuring they are not pushed beyond their comfort zone, preparing them for a smooth transition to elementary school.
