PAYMENT POLICIES

We do not accept cash for tuition or enrollment. All payments should be made via bank deposit to the school’s account at Banco Nacional de Costa Rica.

 

We do accept payments through PayPal, however, payments made by PayPal are subject to an additional 10% surcharge due to the fees charged by PayPal and our bank.

 

The cost of tuition is annual, and is due in one single payment before the start of the school year.

  • If you need to pay in 3 or 8 payments, please come to the office to discuss conditions. There is a $200 fee for the credit application.

  • If your credit application is approved for a 3 or 8 payment plan, the Terms of Payment are as follows:

    •  All payments are due before the 1st of the month to which they apply (e.g. By November 1, for the month of November)

    • Payments made after the 1st will have a 15% late fee applied.

    • Payments made after the 6th will have a 25% late fee applied.

    • Students whose tuition has not been paid before the 15th of the month will not be permitted to continue until their debt is paid. The school will not release grades, transcripts, or student materials until the debt is paid.

  • In the event that a student does not attend school for any length of time, Tuition and fees will not be reduced or adjusted, the total amount of the monthly tuition must be paid, independent of absence or early withdrawal.

  • If, a student breaks or damages school property or facilities the cost of repair or replacement must be paid immediately.

  • Mareas Academy reserves the unconditional right to take disciplinary action, suspend, and/or dismiss any student whose progress, conduct, or whose guardian's conduct, is considered by Mareas Academy to be unsatisfactory or contrary to the overall good and mission of Mareas Academy.

ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
